Link your Venmo, Cash App, PayPal and Zelle
- Payments → Ways to pay. Enter your Venmo username, Cash App $cashtag, PayPal.me name and/or the email or phone enrolled with Zelle. Add a note like "Cash and checks welcome".
- Save. Open your pay page shows what clients see: your shop's name and a button per app that opens it with the amount filled in (Zelle shows the contact to copy — it has no pay link).
- Keep Mention these on my booking page ticked so clients know before they arrive.
Request a payment by text
- Payments → Request payment. If you also have Stripe, choose Venmo / Cash App / Zelle; otherwise it's the only option.
- Pick the client, the amount and what it's for. They get a text (and email) with the amount and a link to your pay page. The words are yours to edit under Settings → Templates → Payment request.
- The request shows on Payments as link sent. When the money arrives in your app, choose Mark paid… and how they paid. Done — it's on their history and in their lifetime spend.
Record a payment you took at the desk
- Open Payments and tap Record a payment.
- Pick the client, enter the amount, choose how they paid (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, cash, card terminal, check, other) and add a note if you like ("balayage + tip").
- Tap Record. It appears in the Payments list with the method, and on the client's profile.
Staff can do this too, so whoever is at the desk can log it as the client leaves.
Make it easy for clients to pay you
- Put your handle in the confirmation. Settings → Templates → Booking confirmation: add a line like "We take Venmo (@yourshop), Zelle and cash." The same for the day-before reminder if you like.
- Your booking page description. Settings → Business lets you add a tagline; a short "Venmo, Zelle & cash welcome" saves questions.
- Text the link when they ask. From the client's thread in the Inbox, send your Venmo or Cash App profile link. The next reply usually says "sent".
Venmo specifics
Use a Venmo business profile rather than your personal account: it keeps your tax records clean, lets you print a QR code for the counter, and gives clients a name they recognise. Venmo charges a small fee on business profile payments; personal-profile payments for goods and services aren't allowed under Venmo's terms.
Cash App, Zelle and PayPal
- Cash App — a Cash App for Business account gives you a $cashtag and QR code; fees are similar to Venmo business.
- Zelle — usually free, tied to your bank; check with your bank that your account is enrolled for business use. Zelle has no buyer protection, so many shops use it for regulars only.
- PayPal — a PayPal.Me link works well in texts.
When to use Stripe instead
If you want a payment link the client can pay by card in one tap, deposits collected at booking, or no-show protection, that's Stripe. Both can live side by side: Stripe for online and deposits, everything else recorded by hand.
